Lincoln In Buffalo 150 Years

“Lincoln in Buffalo: 150 Years” commemorates the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s funeral train arriving in Buffalo. The funeral train carried Lincoln up the East Coast to Albany, and West to Springfield, IL. Mourners in every town hoped to get a glimpse of their President, some throwing wreaths on the train as it slowly passed through the stations. The train arrived in Buffalo at 7AM on April 27, 1865, to a great crowd. Join area cultural institutions as they explore, exhibit, and celebrate our 16th President’s storied history with Western NY.
